We were recently instructed to deliver a time-critical Proclaim solution to a firm managing approximately 30,000 live, low-value hire purchase claims relating to car finance agreements. What the firm required was clear: automated generation of particulars of claim and deployment of the solution within an exceptionally compressed timeframe.

The Challenge

The requested turnaround was substantially shorter than typical development cycles. To meet the client’s commitments, our software developers aim to deliver a robust, scalable solution at pace, without compromising accuracy or flexibility.

Our Approach

Working intensively over an approximate 80-hour build and implementation period, including out-of-hours development, we are currently designing an automated document generation package to be deployed within Proclaim.

The solution has been structured to:

• Extract relevant data directly from each case file
• Assess case criteria dynamically
• Generate only the paragraphs applicable to that specific claim
• Automatically calculate relevant figures and claim details

For example, the system determines which factual and legal components are relevant. If certain elements are not applicable to a case, they are excluded automatically. This ensures each Particulars of Claim document is tailored, accurate, and proportionate to the underlying facts.

A preview stage is also being built into the workflow, allowing users to review a draft document before finalisation. If amendments are required, a structured loop will enable refinements prior to sealing the final version.

Once approved, the system can produce a completed, court-ready document instantly, significantly accelerating the progression of each matter.

What would previously have required substantial drafting resources is being transformed into a controlled, automated workflow. Fee earners will be able to review and finalise documents quickly, rather than construct them from scratch.

Most importantly, this solution will allow the firm to progress a substantial live caseload efficiently while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
