HR within Proclaim: Hybrid Working Attendance System
Contact us today to find out how we can help
The problem
In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic many businesses have moved away from traditional office based 9-5 working towards a hybrid system of remote working. Consequently, a client required a way to log and keep time records for their employee’s general attendance, login times and lunch breaks. This would enable them to continue monitoring productivity of their employees whilst adopting this new working paradigm.
The client also wanted the ability to report on the time completed by their employees both individual as an organisation over a selected period.
The solution
LPS implemented a brand-new HR System within Proclaim, in which each member of staff has their own case created when they start. One part of this new system is the clock in and out process consisting of an attendance screen. The attendance screen is used to log when a user starts and ends a shift, takes lunch hours, and also log nonbillable time. It also allows for the logging of sickness leave, study leave and calculates holiday entitlement.
Each of the cases is password protected ensuring only the individual user can access and amend their own time records.
We then can pull the information from the attendance log to create a report which clearly identifies where the user has been spending their time. Management can also receive emails each week with the hours each member of staff has logged.
The benefit
The client now has complete oversight of each employee’s attendance and productivity without reliance on them being physically in the office each day. This can be utilised for HR auditing, payroll and performance reviews. Furthermore, they can utilise the data to identify trends in performance, eg are certain employees less productive on certain days, are they more or less productive when in the office or from home.
